Colin Joy

Colin Joy is a skilled engineer with a solid background in mechanical and machine design engineering, currently serving as a Machine Design Engineer at Rapak since August 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Mechanical Engineer at New Way® Trucks, where Colin conducted finite element analysis (FEA), designed production solutions, and developed innovative garbage ejection components for rear loader garbage trucks. At Lincoln Electric Automation, Colin designed custom tools for robotic and human interactions and ensured compliance with specifications for hydraulic and pneumatic systems. During time at Whirlpool Corporation as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op Intern, Colin utilized Lean-Six Sigma tools for project savings and improved work cell efficiency. Colin earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University, graduating cum laude in 2018.
