Director of Sustaining Engineering at Rapid Micro Biosystems

Michael Wilt has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Michael is currently working as the Director of Sustaining Engineering at Rapid Micro Biosystems since April 2022. Before this, from March 2021 to April 2022, they served as the Senior Systems Engineering Manager at Healthcare Optics Research Laboratory, Canon U.S.A. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Software Development at Genturi from September 2019 to November 2020. From March 2017 to July 2019, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Syneron Candela. Michael's extensive expertise also includes their role as the Director of Engineering at Velico Medical, Inc., where they led a team of ten engineers in developing a system for spray-drying donated human plasma. Michael held this position from January 2013 to March 2017. Before Velico Medical, Inc., Michael worked at DEKA Research & Development, where they served as the System Engineer for Home Hemodialysis from August 2005 to January 2013 and as the Chief Engineer for the IBOT program from June 1999 to July 2005. Lastly, Michael's career began at RVSI Acuity CiMatrix Automatix in 1984 as an application engineer and eventually became their Director of Engineering, a position they held for fifteen years until May 1999.

Michael Wilt attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1984. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
