Gavin Rae

Gavin Rae is an experienced information security specialist with 20 years in the architecture, design, implementation, and support of security solutions for networks, systems, and digital assets across telecommunications, corporate, and government sectors in Australia and the APAC region. Currently serving as a Senior Security Solutions Engineer at Rapid7 since February 2021, Gavin also operates an independent contracting business as an Information Security Architect since June 2012. Previous roles include Security Architect at Content Security, Senior Security Engineer at Loop Technology, National Security Solution Architect at Dimension Data, and Senior Security Architect at Crossbeam Systems, Inc. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Wollongong and possesses detailed knowledge of security tools, technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
