Jacob K.

Jacob K. has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Jacob is currently working at Rapid7 as a Lead Software Engineer since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Censys from July 2021 to December 2021.

Jacob also has extensive experience at Rapid7, where they held various roles over the years. From February 2021 to June 2021, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer, leading a development team responsible for the Remediation Analytics piece of InsightVM. From February 2018 to February 2021, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on developing and enhancing the search service using Elasticsearch and AWS. In January 2016 to February 2018, they were a Software Engineer II, leading a team in re-architecting the policy compliance framework and creating an experimental REST API.

Before joining Rapid7, Jacob worked at Grid as a Software Engineer from February 2014 to August 2014. Jacob improved application performance and managed new team members. In 2013, they had an internship at Rapid7 as a Software Engineering Intern, where they automated product testing and developed behavioral tests. Jacob also contributed to the development of the Nexpose API.

Additionally, Jacob had a brief stint as a Software Engineer at Soldthru in 2013. Jacob started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Rapid7 in the Office of the CTO in 2012. During this internship, they developed an Android platform application.
