Mal Silva

Mal Silva currently serves as Senior Director of User Experience at Rapid7, having previously held various senior leadership roles in user experience and technical communications at TraceLink from 2015 to 2024. At TraceLink, Mal was responsible for strategic design ownership across multiple global business units, enhancing user experience and fostering collaboration among diverse teams. Previous positions included Senior Director of Platform Products - User Experience, focusing on supply chain solutions, and Director of Experience and Technical Communications, leading user research and content strategy initiatives. Mal's experience also includes roles at Amazon Robotics and EBSCO Publishing, along with a strong educational background in History from Salem State University and a sustained commitment to martial arts as a 2nd kyu Brown Belt in Okinawan Shorei-Ryu Karate.
