Rommel Ramos

Rommel Ramos has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Rommel is currently working as a Technical Lead Detection Engineer at Rapid7 since November 2021. Previously, they held the position of Principal Threat/Malware Researcher at BlackBerry Cylance from March 2019 to November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Cylance Inc. as a Principal Malware/Threat Researcher from July 2016 to March 2019. Rommel also had roles as a Senior Malware Analyst/Researcher at CYREN from January 2014 to August 2016, and at Commtouch from September 2010 to January 2014. Before that, they worked as a Computer Virus Analyst at Authentium/Command Software Systems Inc. from July 2007 to September 2010. Starting from their career in Trend Micro Inc. in 1997, Rommel had various roles including Anti-Virus Engineer/Analyst and Supervisor positions until 2007. Throughout their career, Rommel has accumulated extensive experience in malware analysis, threat research, and virus detection.

Rommel Ramos obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Mapúa University, where they attended from 1992 to 1997.
