Sagar Suri

Sagar Suri started their work experience in 2010 as an intern at UBS Wealth Management. Sagar then worked as an Accountant at Northern Trust from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2018, they held various roles at JLL, including Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Manager, and Global Manager of Data Governance. In 2018, they joined Groupon as the Manager of BI Data Engineering and later progressed to Senior Manager and then Director of Global BI Data Engineering. In 2021, Sagar joined Rapid7 as the Head of Data Engineering, where they achieved significant accomplishments in scaling the data engineering team and improving data observability and lakehouse user adoption. In 2023, they took on the role of Technical Instructor at LinkedIn Learning and also became a Founding Advisor at Libra.

Sagar Suri completed their education at the University of South Carolina from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a B.A. degree. During their time there, they pursued a double major in Finance and Economics. Prior to attending the University of South Carolina, Sagar Suri attended Charlotte Country Day School from 1994 to 2007, although no specific degree or field of study information is provided for this period. Additionally, Sagar Suri obtained several certifications, including the Automation Pro II Certificate from Workato in July 2022, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2021, the Python Bootcamp 2021 Build 15 Working Applications and Games from Udemy in March 2021, and the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in December 2020.
