Stephen Bourne

Stephen Bourne has a strong background in the cybersecurity industry, with a focus on working with public sector organizations. Stephen currently serves as the Public Sector Lead at Rapid7, where they are responsible for continuous monitoring, risk management, and remediation to protect public data from cyber attacks and espionage. Prior to this, Stephen worked as a Public Sector Account Manager at Trend Micro, supporting local government agencies in their journey to the cloud and providing security solutions to protect valuable data. Stephen also held various roles at Sophos, including UK Government Sector Manager and UK Sector Manager for local government, police, and fire. In these positions, Stephen developed business and sales plans for government clients and led strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce security costs. Earlier in their career, Stephen served as a UK Sales Manager at Evolution Security Systems Ltd and as a Senior Security Sales Executive at Entech.

Stephen Bourne attended Manchester Metropolitan University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a BA Hons degree in Business, Leisure, and Recreation.
