Heather Harries

Chief Operating Officer at RapidPulse

Heather Harries has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Heather is currently the Chief Operating Officer at RapidPulse, where they are responsible for developing a system to improve revascularization results for acute ischemic stroke patients. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Product Development at RapidPulse, leading the initial development of the system.

Heather also has experience at Terumo Aortic, where they were the General Manager and oversaw various departments related to manufacturing, quality assurance, and program management. Before that, they were the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Terumo Aortic, where they expanded and developed the quality organization.

Heather has also worked as the President of Heather Harries Medical Device Consulting, Inc., offering consulting and contracting services in the medical device field. Heather has held various roles at Johnson & Johnson, including Plant Quality Assurance Manager, and at Cordis, where they served in multiple positions, including New Product Development Quality Assurance Manager.

Earlier in their career, Heather gained experience as a Research Engineer and completed internships at IEP Group, Inc. and the General Motors Reliability and Test Department.

Heather Harries holds a High School Degree in General from Ellenville Central, which was obtained between the years 1979 and 1991. Heather also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University. Additionally, they have a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials Engineering from Dartmouth College and another Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Florida International University. Furthermore, Heather has obtained several certifications, including Associate Auditor in Quality Management Systems Scheme from RABQSA International, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and Certified Quality Manager (CQMa) from the American Society for Quality, and Six Sigma Green Belt in Design Excellence from Johnson & Johnson.
