Andy Knitt currently serves as a Sr. Prototyping Engineer for RapidSOS, focusing on Responder Enablement & Feedback since March 2024. Prior experience includes a decade at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, where roles progressed from Staff Systems Engineer to Sr. Systems Engineer in Innovation & Architecture. As the Founder and Software Developer of TwoToneDetect.net, Andy developed fire call notification software utilized by numerous fire departments worldwide. Previous roles also include Acting Lieutenant/Firefighter at Stone Bank Volunteer Fire Department and Fire Chief at Deer Creek Fire Protection District, where Andy led efforts in fire protection and basic life support. With a strong foundation in engineering from Michigan Technological University, where a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering was earned, Andy brings extensive experience in both engineering and emergency services.
