Patrice Case's work experience includes a role as an Adjunct Professor at Monmouth University starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior GIS Analyst at RapidSOS from 2020 to the present. In this role, they were responsible for producing data layers, maps, tables, and reports using GIS technology and coordinating GIS projects.
From 2017 to 2020, Patrice worked as a Forest Fire Assistant at the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, where they created and worked with map data using ArcGIS software.
They also worked at the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office as a GIS Analyst III from 2018 to 2020. In this position, they maintained address point and road center line data for 911 dispatch and created geocoding locators and map configurations regularly. They also troubleshooted the Spillman CAD system.
Other roles include a Desktop Support Intern at iCIMS in 2017, an Assistant Instructor/Curriculum at Black Rocket Productions from 2016 to 2017, IT Programming & Support at Channel Methods Partners, LLC. in 2016, and an IT Intern at Sealed Unit Parts Company from 2014 to 2016. In the latter position, Patrice gained skills in organization, communication, Windows Server, Microsoft Office, and handling data loss and virus attacks. They also worked with Active Directory, Access Databases, and Ethernet cable infrastructure.
Patrice Case completed a Bachelor of Applied Computer Science degree at Monmouth University from 2014 to 2018. During this time, their studies focused on software engineering, computer science, homeland security, and Geographic Information Science (GIS). They furthered their education by pursuing a Masters degree in Geographic Information Science at Penn State World Campus, which they completed from 2019 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, Patrice obtained various certifications related to GIS and emergency management. These certifications include "Field Data Collection and Management Using ArcGIS" from Esri in June 2019, "ICS 700 National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction" from FEMA in November 2017, and several other GIS-related certifications from Esri and FEMA.
