George Cushen

George Cushen, PhD has a diverse background in data science, chip design, and mobile app development. Their most recent position was as the SVP Data Science at RAPP, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Data Science at Amyris, a sustainable ingredients company, from 2022 to 2023. George also held the role of Head of Data Science at Bark.com from 2021 to 2022. Earlier in their career, George worked as the Lead Data Scientist at Farfetch and as a Data Scientist at The Very Group. George has also worked as a Mobile App Developer at their own company, George Cushen, and as an Open Source Contributor, creating various software tools. George's early work experience includes positions at Dstl, Qualcomm, and NXP Semiconductors as a Defence Research Scientist and Chip Design Engineer.

George Cushen, PhD, earned a BEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton. George then pursued further studies at the same university, completing a PhD in Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
