Russell Benton

Russell Benton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and credit processes. Currently serving as the Director of Risk at Rapyd since July 2022, Benton previously held significant roles at Valitor as Head of Merchant Risk and Merchant Boarding from April 2018 to May 2023, where a comprehensive customer boarding process was developed to manage AML, credit, and card association risks. Prior experience includes positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where responsibilities included managing wholesale credit processes, and at WorldPay, where credit measurement metrics and a new application scoring platform were developed. Early career experience at RBS involved credit risk management and database development. Educational background includes attendance at Caterham High School from 1981 to 1987.
