Sofia Mohammed

Sofia Mohammed currently serves as the Executive Director for North America at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, beginning in September 2023. Previously, Sofia held leadership roles at Black Girls CODE, including Interim Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Programs, from September 2021 to August 2023. At Uncommon Schools, Sofia was a School Principal from June 2018 to June 2021, where data-driven decisions led to successful high school matriculation for over 300 middle school students. Prior experience includes serving as STEM Academic Dean and Pre-Calculus Teacher at Achievement First, where significant improvements in student performance were achieved. Sofia began the career as a Corps Member and Math Instructor with Teach For America, demonstrating exceptional results in student assessments. Educational credentials include a BA from Boston College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
