Head of Social at Raspberry Pi

Ashley Whittaker's work experience begins in 2010 when they joined Cambridgeshire County Council as a Community Engagement employee. Ashley was responsible for launching a community engagement website, designing innovative programs to reach various groups, and training volunteer community reporters. In 2011, they also took on the role of an Entertainment Journalist at Archant's flagship publication, The Hunts Post, where they wrote the double-page entertainment section and sourced local interest pieces. In 2014, Ashley moved to Cambridge Assessment, where they initially served as a Social Media and Digital Content Manager. In this role, they created and implemented the organization's social media policy and strategy, launched and developed various social platforms, and revamped their LinkedIn offering resulting in reduced recruitment spend. Additionally, they served as the Interim Deputy Head of Public Affairs and External Communications Manager where they directed digital and print media output, led crisis communications, and advised CEOs and directors on media messaging. Most recently, in 2020, Ashley joined Raspberry Pi Trading as the Head of Social, where they manage the blog and social media platforms.

Ashley Whittaker completed their education at various institutions. Ashley obtained a PG Dip in Journalism from the London School of Journalism in 2012. In 2013, they earned an ILM award Level 3 in Change Management from IML Business School. Prior to that, they received a BA Joint Hons in Art History & Archaeology from the University of Nottingham in 2008.
