Javier Alvarez

Javier Alvarez has an extensive work experience in various industries. Javier most recently worked as the VP of Finance at RatedPower since 2022. Prior to that, they founded and led ULURA, a company focused on corporate and global sustainability through energy-efficient technology solutions. From 2017 to 2020, Javier served as the Chief Financial Officer at ECOFRIO (Quallianz), where they managed finance, treasury, accounting, procurement, and IT functions. Javier also held several roles at Citibanamex, including Financial Analytics Vice President, Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Senior Financial Planning Manager, handling financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for the Consumer Bank. Earlier in their career, they worked at BlueSky Refrigeration as a Financial Director and Operations Controller, and at Marconi Communications as a Product Engineer. Javier also served as a Project Manager at Up Sí Vale and held IT Help Desk and Network Administrator roles at Universidad Iberoamericana and Grupo Softel, respectively.

Javier Alvarez has an education history that spans over multiple years and includes degrees in various fields. Starting in 1997, they attended Universidad Iberoamericana in Ciudad de México, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering. This five-year program concluded in 2002. Following a brief break, from 2006 to 2007, Javier enrolled at IE Business School and obtained an International MBA, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Lastly, in 2010 and 2011, they attended IPADE Business School, where they completed a Special Management Program, again specializing in Business Administration and Management.
