Ryan Shaw

Ryan Shaw has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Ryan most recently served as the Vice President of Operations at RavenVolt starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Sr. Director of Corporate Strategy at RavenVolt from January to September 2022. Before joining RavenVolt, Ryan worked as a Strategic Operations Manager at Workrise from October 2021 to January 2022.

Ryan has also had experience as a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from July 2019 to September 2021. Ryan worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from January 2018 to May 2019 and as an MBA Strategy Intern at Corning Incorporated from May to August 2018.

Additionally, Ryan worked as a Research Assistant at MIT from September 2014 to August 2017. Ryan gained practical experience through externships, serving as an MIT Practice School Extern at the FDA from January to March 2016, and at Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) from October to December 2015. At EGA, they assisted with plant design and built tools for safe plant operations.

Prior to their MIT studies, Ryan worked as a Chemical Engineer at Eastman Chemical Company from June 2012 to August 2014, and as a Co-op from August 2010 to August 2011.

Ryan Shaw has a strong educational background in both chemical engineering and business administration. Ryan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics from Virginia Tech, which they earned from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At MIT, Ryan completed a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering Practice from 2014 to 2016. Ryan then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from 2014 to 2019. Showing a diverse interest, they also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from MIT between 2017 and 2019.

In addition to their formal degree programs, Ryan Shaw has obtained several certifications. These include the "Complete Guide to TensorFlow for Deep Learning with Python," the "Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp with R," and "Tableau 10 A-Z," all from Udemy, in January 2018. Ryan also completed the "Data Visualization for Data Analysts" and "Python 3 Essential Training" certifications from Lynda.com in May 2015. Lastly, they obtained the "Engineer in Training" certification from NCEES in April 2012.
