Senior Software Engineer at Ravio

Matthew Davidson has a long and varied work experience, beginning with a Graduate Automation Test Analyst position at INPS Ltd in 2011. Matthew then moved to Adgistics as a QA Engineer, where they introduced Selenium automated testing and standardized the use of markup and identifiers. In 2012, they joined Tesco Bank as an IT Developer, where they integrated 3rd party insurance providers into the price comparison engine and revamped the brochureware CSS architecture. In 2013, they started at Skyscanner as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to architecture proposals, was a technical lead on a project, and co-established Backpack. Matthew then became an Engineering Manager and Senior Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for engineering delivery and the performance, growth, and wellbeing of the engineers on the teams. In 2020, they joined Impala as a Staff Engineer and Senior Frontend Engineer, where they proposed and led an initiative to tease out the engineering culture and laid the groundwork for future team growth. Finally, in 2022, they moved to Ravio as a Senior Software Engineer and Wayflyer as a Senior Frontend Engineer.

Matthew Davidson attended Abertay University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a BSc (Hons) in Computing.
