Joe Hilty

Joe Hilty is a Development Story Researcher at RAW since June 2023, contributing to an upcoming Netflix series, and previously served as an Office Runner providing research support across multiple major productions. Prior experience includes assisting the editorial team in location scouting and script research for another Netflix feature. At Smoking Dogs Films Ltd, Joe worked as an Archive Researcher under visual artist John Akomfrah, gaining experience in archive footage management. An internship at Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos involved organizing legal documents. Joe holds a Master’s degree in Visual Anthropology and a Bachelor of Science in Social Anthropology from The University of Manchester, complemented by an educational background from Kingston Grammar School.
