Leonie has been a Board Chair for the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET) since 2018, a Council Member for Swinburne University of Technology since 2020, a Board Director for the Victorian Clean Technology Fund since 2020, an OCE STaR Shot Advisory Council Independent Chair for Defence Science and Technology (DST) since 2021, an Independent Director for RayGen since 2021, an Independent Director for the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering since 2020, a Founder and Director for Productive Management Solutions Pty Ltd since 2003, a R&D Advisory Committee Member for Paintback Limited since 2017, an Advisory Board Member for TEXTOR TECHNOLOGIES PTY LTD since 2016, and an Advisory Board Member for the ARC Centre for Nanoscale Biophotonics since 2017.

Leonie Walsh earned an Exec MBA in Strategic Management from AGSM @ UNSW Business School between 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a MSc and BSc in Applied Science from Swinburne University of Technology between 1981 and 1991.
