Isaac Simmonds is an experienced radiochemist currently serving as the Associate Director of Radiochemistry at RayzeBio since April 2022, overseeing the Radiochemistry Development Lab and managing the Radiochemistry Team. Responsibilities include leading CMC module 3 and supporting IND and NDA enabling activities, along with ensuring the procurement and qualification of essential laboratory equipment. Before this role, Isaac worked at the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, where leadership of the QC team involved HPLC and GC operations, SOP and method development, and radioactive material shipments. Earlier experience included roles at NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, LLC, focusing on Mo99/Tc99m separations, and as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Missouri, culminating in a Ph.D. in Radiochemistry. Isaac’s foundational work began as a Radiological Control Technician at Los Alamos National Laboratory and as a Student Researcher at New Mexico State University.
