Jitse Maes possesses a diverse and extensive background in sports medicine and general healthcare. Currently serving as Clubarts for Sporting Lokeren - Temse and Teamarts for the Royal Belgian Football Association's U16 and BeGold teams, Jitse combines roles as a Sports Medicine Physician, providing treatment and prevention of sports injuries at Sportpark De Schans. Previous experience includes serving as Team Doctor for Jong KAA Gent and providing medical support during a mountain biking tour in Uganda. Jitse's educational credentials include a Master of Science in General Medicine and a Postgraduate Degree in Athlete Support and Sports Medicine from Ghent University.
