Alison Start

Alison Start is an independent consultant and non-executive director with over 25 years of experience in addressing commercial, strategic, and operational challenges within the defense and telecommunications sectors. They have served as a governor at Mid Kent College and are currently a trustee at both the National Museum of the Royal Navy and RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries). Previously, Alison held key roles such as Divisional Operating Officer at Astrium Services and Commercial Director at Paradigm Secure Communications, where they drove significant business integration and enhanced customer partnerships. With a master’s degree in History and a BSc in Social Sciences from The Open University, they focus on supporting organizations in harnessing their talent for competitive advantage.
