James Lai

Best Practice Sub-committee Member

James Lai is a Major Trauma Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, involved in the resuscitation of severely injured patients and chairing monthly Traum@IC research meetings. Additionally, James serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, co-leading the Fundamentals of Research module in the Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine MSc program. As a member of the Best Practice Sub-Committee at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, James contributes to promoting clinical best practices. Previously, James completed higher specialist training as an Emergency Medicine Specialty Registrar at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and has held various clinical and research roles, including Clinical AI Fellow focused on mental healthcare service use prediction. James's academic journey includes ongoing PhD studies at Imperial College London, building on a Master of Science from Queen Mary University of London and a medical degree from the University of Birmingham.
