Simon Carley currently serves as the MAHSC Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at The University of Manchester. In addition to this role, Simon holds the position of Dean and CPD lead at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and works as a Consultant in Enhanced Prehospital Care with the North West Air Ambulance Charity. Simon has significant experience as a Major Trauma Consultant at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and has been associated with the General Medical Council as an Enhanced Monitoring Associate since 2010. Furthermore, Simon is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of Medical Education at Central Manchester & Manchester Children's Foundation Trust, and serves as Associate Dean for Health Education North West, overseeing medical education quality and learning strategies across multiple NHS trusts. With a robust educational background, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Education and a Doctor of Medicine, Simon has contributed to various clinical and academic roles, while also taking part in editorial duties for Critical Care Horizons.
