Alison Watt is a Consultant Clinical Scientist at the Regional Virus Laboratory Belfast, where they serve as the Infectious Diseases Diagnostics Lead for Serology Services. They have been a Clinical Scientist at Belfast Health & Social Care Trust since 2005 and currently hold the position of Chair for the Northern Ireland RCPath Council. With a strong academic background, Alison earned a PhD in Immunology from Queen's University Belfast and has pursued further studies in Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. They also contribute to the UK Standards for Microbiology Investigations as the Chair of the Virology Working Group.
