Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees currently serves as the Vice Chancellor at Hazara University since July 2016 and holds the title of FRCPath with the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) since September 2015. Dr. Idrees has been the Professor and Director at the Centre for Applied Molecular Biology (CAMB) since December 1996, overseeing its technical operations. Previous roles include Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology from December 2005 to March 2013 and a Visiting Research Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from September 2006 to April 2007. Dr. Idrees completed postdoctoral studies in Viral Hepatitis at the CDC in Atlanta, USA, and earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Molecular Virology from the University of the Punjab.
