James Bugden

James Bugden is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and IT audit. Currently serving as the Head of Risk and Audit for Technology and Data at Reach plc since February 2023, James is responsible for defining risk management frameworks, conducting risk reviews, and developing audit plans in the technology and data domain. Prior to this, James held the position of Head of IT Audit at Bupa from October 2018 to February 2023, where management of IT audit teams and development of risk assessment strategies were key responsibilities. James's earlier career includes roles at Deloitte UK from August 2009 to October 2018, progressing from Senior Consultant to Senior Manager, overseeing IT internal audit projects across the Financial Services sector. James holds an FCA from ICAEW and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Nottingham.
