Setsuo Maeda Dr Eng, Dr Med Sci is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Liaison at Reactec Limited since April 2019, Setsuo transitioned to Edinburgh after retiring from Kindai University. In addition, Setsuo holds positions as Visiting Academics at the University of Southampton and Visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University, both since January 2022 and August 2018 respectively. Setsuo has been the Chairman of ISO/TC108/SC4 since January 2020. Prior roles include a decade as Director at the Japan National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, following a distinguished career at Kinki University spanning from April 1978 to March 2000, culminating in various academic ranks such as Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Associate Professor.
