Steve Sims has worked in the software industry since 1997. Steve began their career as a Computer Scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory in 1997. In 2000, they co-founded Reactive Systems, Inc, where they served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer. In their role as CEO, they worked with customers and employees to help build embedded software with fewer bugs and at a lower cost using Reactis. Steve also engaged distributors for Reactis in India, Italy, France, China, Taiwan, and Korea, and led efforts to obtain a patent for Reactis Tester's core guided simulation test generation technology. As CTO, they led all aspects of design and development of RSI's product Reactis, a testing and validation package for Simulink and Stateflow. Steve also implemented Reactis test-generation engine and developed the now patented guided simulation algorithm that underlies it.
Steve Sims obtained a MS in Math and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 1987 and 1991. Steve then attended North Carolina State University from 1991 to 1997, where they earned a MS and PhD in Computer Science.
