Read to Grow is a Connecticut-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting language skills and literacy for children, beginning at birth, and supporting families as their babies’ first teachers. Founded in 2000, Read to Grow has spent more than two decades advancing early childhood literacy and ensuring that families have the tools they need to nurture a love of reading from day one.

Through partnerships with hospitals, childcare providers, and community organizations across the state, Read to Grow distributes more than 100,000 books each year to children and families throughout Connecticut. Our programs empower caregivers with the knowledge and resources to actively engage in their child’s reading development, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.
