Joachim Ekermann

Joachim Ekermann has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Joachim currently works as a Product Manager at Reason Studios since February 2021. Prior to that, from April 2006 to February 2021, they owned and operated Make Wave, their own company.

From August 2013 to December 2020, Joachim worked at XLN Audio. Joachim started as a Product Content Producer, responsible for producing content for music production software, quality control, and customer feedback. Later, they became a Product Content Manager, overseeing the evaluation of software development.

From November 2011 to August 2013, they served as a Studio Manager & Audio Engineer at Studiefrämjandet. Joachim also led music production courses and workshops during this time.

From October 2008 to August 2013, Joachim worked as an Audio Engineer & Music Producer at Helter Skelter Studio.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Freelance Journalist & Writer for IDG Sverige, delivering articles, interviews, and reviews for the music production magazine Studio, from January 2006 to August 2013.

Joachim also worked as a Journalist and Writer for Hansen Media from June 2007 to December 2011, where they produced articles, interviews, and reviews for Studio magazine.

Joachim's experience also includes working as an Audio Engineer at MTV UK, Northern & Eastern Europe from February 2007 to December 2008, where they handled live-to-tape programs with Swedish artists and bands.

Furthermore, they served as an Audio Engineer at Kanal Lokal from February 2006 to June 2007, working on live-broadcast shows with Swedish artists and bands.

Joachim Ekermann attended Stockholm University from 1999 to 2005. During this time, they studied Sociology, Political Science, Statistics, and Social Anthropology. In 2003, they also briefly attended Södertörn University, where they focused on History of Ideas and Gender Studies for one year.
