Chris Noonan

Chris Noonan has worked in the technical writing field since 2015. From 2015 to 2018, they were an Information Developer and Senior Information Developer at Johnson Controls, where they interacted with SMEs world-wide, mentored Junior Information Developers, provided training, managed translations, and maintained technical documentation for HVAC and Fire safety range products. Chris also presented on-site and off-site demonstrations to internal and external clients. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Technical Writer at XebiaLabs, where they created content for three products in the DevOps space, defined procedures, the peer review cycle, held workshops, devised a content revision strategy, implemented content versioning, and worked with UX and Developers to create a new documentation site. Chris was also the Scrum Master for their team. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Technical Writer at EclecticIQ and an API Documentation Manager and Lead Technical Writer at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where they set up docOps for all internal and external APIs, provided training, guided developer portal development, and worked with teams to establish and define the API development processes. Chris currently works as a Documentation Manager and Lead Technical Writer at Rebilly.

Chris Noonan has a diverse educational background. Chris completed a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Computing Science from University College Cork in 2014. Prior to that, they completed an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc Hons) in Multimedia Applications Development from South East Technological University in 2012. Chris also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Multimedia Application Development from South East Technological University in 2011. In addition, Chris has obtained several certifications, including [PCEP-30-01] PCEP – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer from the Python Institute in 2021, AgilePM® Practitioner from APMG International in 2020, AgilePM® Foundation from APMG International in 2020, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2018, and IBEC Managing People Programme from Ibec in 2016.
