Shane Pixton

Shane Pixton is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in optical systems, simulation, and modeling. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Principal Electrical Engineer at Rebion since June 2017, Shane previously worked at Eritek, Inc. as a Staff Engineer, where support was provided for various USG contracts. Prior roles include Senior Systems Engineer at Tasc, leading a Space Situational Awareness Program, and Optical Engineer at ITT Corporation, focusing on opto-mechanical designs for optical communication terminals. Shane's early career featured roles as a Research Engineer at Michigan Aerospace Corporation, contributing to DARPA and Air Force projects, and as a Payload Technician and Teaching Assistant at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, gaining valuable experience in optical design and systems engineering. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Photonics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Diplome d'Ingenieur in Aerospace Engineering from EPF Engineering School.
