Cameron Brown has worked in the software engineering industry since 2012. In 2012, they began working as a Behavioral Interventionist (Applied Behavioral Analyst) at ACES (Autism Comprehensive Educational Services). In this role, they worked closely with children ages 3 to 7 who had been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, developing and implementing operant conditioning strategies to reinforce target behaviors and minimize 'problem' behaviors in clients. In 2013, they began working as a Graduate Research Assistant at SDSU Research Foundation. In 2015, they began working as a Web Developer at EG Publications, where they utilized Bulma and VueJS to bootstrap components that tripled department work output, automated 75% of the company's high-value copyright infringement enforcement using NodeJS and Puppeteer, and organized and launched an affiliate marketing content platform using PHP. In 2019, they began working as a Front End Developer at BVA, where they planned, estimated, and implemented a wide range of development solutions, primarily to drive sales and create opportunities for high-traffic Shopify Plus clients, built complex user interface designs using modern JS frameworks (Vue, React), and debugged, audited, and refactored existing web assets to increase performance and improve UX. In 2019, they began working as a Wordpress Developer at Counterflow Marketing, where they managed 100+ commercial Wordpress installations across multiple industries, built and extended plugins, themes, and site architecture to meet team and client needs, and ensured that site designs and content adhered to the agency's SEO ranking strategy. In 2020, they began working as a Technical Lead and Front End Developer at eHouse Studio, where they were fully responsible for high-level development strategy and implementation on 7 Shopify storefront sites across 3 industry-leading client accounts, daily interfaced across departments to ensure clients' needs were met with efficient solutions, and led departmental efforts to improve developer experience, code quality, and deployment infrastructure. In 2022, they began working as a Software Engineer at Rebuy Engine.

Cameron Brown obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Research Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
