Marc Funk

Marc Funk is an experienced executive in the life sciences sector, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at MARBIO since June 2024 and CEO at Recipharm since March 2021. Previously, Marc held the position of President & COO at Lonza from November 2008 to March 2021, where significant operational transformations and major expansions in the Pharma & Biotech segment were led. Prior to that, Marc was Chief Legal Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors at a company, and worked as Corporate Counsel at Merck Serono. Early career efforts included co-leading Geneprot as Co-CEO, focusing on non-scientific operations. Marc earned a Master's degree in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Master's degree in Law from the University of Geneva.
