Reckless Brewing was born from a simple belief: the Australian beer market didn’t need more beer - it needed better thinking.

As craft became increasingly niche and intimidating, and mainstream beer chased scale at the expense of flavour, we saw a gap. Australian-owned beer didn’t have to choose between quality and approachability. From day one, our rule has been clear: every beer must be exceptional in flavour, genuinely sessionable and easy to come back to.

Proudly based in Bathurst in the Central West of NSW, Reckless is majority women-founded and women-led in an industry still dominated by male voices. That perspective isn’t symbolic, it’s a competitive advantage. 

Regional Roots. National Momentum.
Rather than fighting for attention in crowded capital cities, we built a powerhouse in regional Australia. Our 400+ seat brewery, taproom and restaurant has become one of Bathurst’s largest hospitality venues and a recognised tourism destination.

We’ve deliberately built two complementary brands to maximise reach. Reckless Brewing Co. is our flagship craft label, focused on bold styles, seasonal releases and quality-led experimentation. BX is our easy-drinking range - designed to look and drink like a macro beer, but made better.

Our commitment to excellence is proven. Since winning two gold medals from three entries in our first awards in 2021, Reckless has secured 138 medals and eight Champion trophies, spanning styles from XPA to Baltic Porter.
