Max Barker

Max Barker has over a decade of experience in legal affairs and business operations. Max began their career in 2004 as an Audit Associate at KPMG, where they audited financial statements of federal agencies and public and private companies. In 2010, they joined Cooley LLP as an Associate, where they prepared and reviewed SEC filings for compliance with applicable regulations for multiple clients. In 2011, they moved to DLA Piper, where they worked on merger and acquisition transactions and public financings for large public companies in biotech and wireless technology. In 2017, they became the VP, Legal Affairs at Cascadian Therapeutics, Inc. and then in 2018, they became the VP, Legal Affairs & Corporate Development at Rainier Therapeutics. Most recently, they have been the VP, Legal Affairs & Business Operations at ReCode Therapeutics since 2020.

Max Barker graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Accounting, followed by a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
