Chase Roberts

Chase Roberts has worked at Recogni since 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer. Prior to that, they were a Quantum Software Engineer at Xanadu from 2020-2021, where they worked on open source PennyLane development, adding JAX integration and helping develop the first generation of pennylane transforms. From 2019-2020, they were a Research Software Engineer at X, the moonshot factory, where they built the TensorNetwork library. In 2018, they were a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Google. In 2017, they were a Google Brain Research Intern, where they worked on the machine learning robotics team, focusing on implementation and in depth analysis of Progressive Neural Networks for transfer learning and helping implement reinforcement learning architecture. In 2016, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Bloomberg LP. In 2015, they were a Super Computing Undergraduate Research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they helped create an experimental automatic differentiation C++ data type. Also in 2015, they were an Intern Software Developer and Analyst at Intentional Software Corporation, where they were a member of the graphics team and worked on shader meta program implementation, decreasing shader build time from several minutes to a few seconds with dynamic compilation.

Chase Roberts graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
