Recordatio’s mission is to highlight culture, heritage, heroes, and their stories through art and live performance. Each show is an invitation to rediscover our history, from its grand epics to its more intimate tales, immersing the audience in a human and engaging experience.

The name Recordatio means “remembrance”: it contains cordis, the heart, reflecting our desire to deeply touch everyone involved in our projects, to make each person feel the power of stories and the beauty of historic places.

Through our creations, we aim to reconnect the French to their heritage, celebrate sometimes-forgotten figures, and evoke lasting emotions and memories. A love of History and its heroes guides all our artistic choices, from set design and costumes to the involvement of passionate volunteers.

Whether in an abbey or a historic castle, Recordatio transforms spaces into living theaters, where every stone tells a story and every character brings the past back to life.
