Billy Cannon

Billy Cannon, CISSP, has an extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Billy is currently the Director of Partner Engineering at Recorded Future since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Technical Sales Enablement Director at CrowdStrike from October 2022 to April 2023.

From 2017 to 2022, Billy worked at Rapid7 in various roles. Billy started as a Security Solutions Engineer in June 2017 and then became a Lead Solutions Engineer from February 2018 to February 2019. Billy further advanced to Manager of Sales Engineering from February 2019 to July 2021. Later, they took on the role of Senior Manager, Domain & Channel Sales Engineering from July 2021 to October 2022. At Rapid7, they were responsible for leading the PreSales organization, including Solution Architecture, Channel Sales Engineering, and Technical Sales Readiness.

Before joining Rapid7, Billy had a notable career in the United States Air Force. Billy served in different roles from 2011 to 2017. Notably, they were the Chief of Wing Exercises for the 688th Cyberspace Wing, Executive Officer for the 24th Air Force, Branch Chief for Analysis, Correlation & Fusion at the 624th Operations Center, and Chief of Targeting for the 854th Cyberspace Ops Squadron. Billy also completed the Intelligence Officer Basics Course during their tenure in the Air Force.

In addition to their military experience, Billy has also served in the US Air Force Reserve as the Chief of Targeting for the 854th Cyberspace Ops Squadron from July 2017 to January 2019.
