Jared M. Smith

Jared M. Smith, PhD, is a Senior Manager at Recorded Future/Mastercard, leading the Threat Research and Active Collection of Exposures (TRACE) team. Previously, Jared served as Senior Director of Threat Research at SecurityScorecard, where they expanded their team and contributed to product development while managing multiple significant cybersecurity responses. Jared has also held various teaching and research positions, including Adjunct Professor at New York University and Cyber Security Research Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. With a Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Jared has published and presented in conferences and has extensive experience in threat research, data science, and software security.
