Jason Steer

Jason Steer has significant work experience in the information security field. Jason currently holds the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Recorded Future since February 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Principal Security Strategist at the same company from July 2021 to February 2022. Before joining Recorded Future, Jason worked at Menlo Security Inc. as a Solutions Architect for the EMEA region from July 2015 to March 2018. Jason also held various roles at FireEye, Inc., including Chief Security Strategist for EMEA, Director of Technology Strategy in Sales, and EMEA Product Manager & Senior Architect, between January 2013 and June 2015. Additionally, they have worked as an EMEA Solution Architect at Silver Tail Systems from February 2012 to January 2013 and as an EMEA Solutions Architect at Veracode from May 2010 to February 2012. Jason gained early experience in the industry as an EMEA Product Manager and Systems Engineer at Cisco IronPort from April 2004 to May 2010. Jason started their career as a Pre Sales Consultant at Content Technologies/Baltimore Technologies/Clearswift from April 2000 to April 2004. Before that, they worked as a Security Consultant at Centurycom from July 1999 to May 2000. Jason's earliest role was as a Regional Network Administrator at Chiron Diagnostics from June 1996 to February 1999.

Jason Steer earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General from Edith Cowan University from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications as a Mental Health First Aider from MHFA England in January 2021 and as a Recorded Future Certified Analyst from Recorded Future in June 2019.
