Director, Strategic And Persistent Threats at Recorded Future

Jonathan Condra has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber intelligence and strategic threats. Jonathan started their career as an intern at IHS Global Insight in 2010, where they reviewed online reports and conducted research on various topics related to country intelligence.

In 2012, Jonathan joined the German Marshall Fund of the United States as an intern in the Asia Program. Here, they provided logistical support for events and conducted research on contemporary East-West relations and internal Asian developments. Jonathan also supported the Young Strategist Forum, Tokyo Trilateral Forum, and Global Swing States Project.

Later in 2012, Jonathan joined Verisign as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, responsible for collecting, analyzing, and producing open-source cyber intelligence for corporate clients. Jonathan was also involved in fulfilling specific client requests and producing research reports on the cyber threat landscape in China. In this role, they were voted "iDefense Analyst of the Year" in November 2013.

From 2014 to 2019, Jonathan worked at Flashpoint as the Director of Intelligence for the Asia Pacific region. Jonathan was responsible for leading research and analysis efforts, particularly in East Asia, and providing intelligence support to clients.

In 2019, Jonathan joined Symantec as a Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst, where they utilized their expertise in cyber intelligence to contribute to the company's efforts.

Currently, since April 2021, Jonathan is working at Recorded Future as the Director of Strategic and Persistent Threats. Jonathan is responsible for overseeing strategic and persistent threat activities and providing guidance in this area.

Throughout their career, Jonathan has gained extensive knowledge and experience in strategic threats, cyber intelligence, and research analysis, making him a valuable asset to any organization in need of cyber intelligence expertise.

Jonathan Condra completed their education as follows:

- From 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in the Security Studies Program, specializing in Intelligence, at Georgetown University.

- In 2011, they attended Beijing Language and Culture University to study Mandarin Chinese, although no degree was obtained.

- Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Gettysburg College, majoring in Political Science, International Affairs, and East Asian Studies, from 2007 to 2011.

- In 2010, they briefly studied International Politics and Economics at Georgetown University.

- In 2009, they studied Mandarin Chinese at both Capital Normal University and Beijing Institute of Education, though no degrees were obtained.

Additionally, Jonathan Condra has obtained several certifications:

- In March 2022, they achieved the MITRE ATT&CK Defender certification from MITRE.

- Jonathan attained the GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification from the SANS Institute in December 2021.

- In August 2020, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) accredited by (ISC)².

- Jonathan obtained the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification from the SANS Institute in October 2013.

- In April 2018, they earned the GIAC Python Coder (GPYC) certification from GIAC Certifications.
