Josefin Scott

Josefin Scott has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Josefin began their career with Logica as an IT Support Technician, handling error diagnosis, problem solving, and database maintenance. Josefin then worked as a Customer and Technical Support representative at Academic Work. Following that, they joined Wallenstam AB as a First Line Support technician, responsible for installing and maintaining hardware and software.

In 2015, Josefin interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Opera Software, where they primarily worked on frontend programming and Java for the development of the Opera browser for Android devices. Josefin then joined Spotify as an Android Developer Intern, focusing on client-side development and bug fixing for the Spotify application. Additionally, they worked as a Street Team Tech, planning and hosting events to motivate students to code and bringing people together.

Josefin's experience with Spotify continued as a Master Thesis Student, where they applied recurrent neural networks to classify user sessions from the Spotify application. Josefin then transitioned to working as a Software Engineer at Recorded Future, where they assumed the role of Lead Software Architect for the Analytics teams. Their responsibilities included driving architectural principles, managing people, and resolving technical issues related to data pipelines, NLP, and text analysis tasks using machine learning and rule-based systems.

Josefin Scott started their education in 2008 at John Bauergymnasiet Hässleholm, where they completed their upper secondary school education in the field of Information Technology from 2008 to 2011. Josefin then enrolled at Chalmers University of Technology and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from 2012 to 2015. Following that, they pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science – algorithms, languages, and logic from Chalmers University of Technology, which they completed from 2015 to 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Josefin Scott obtained the Illustrator CS6 One-on-One: Advanced and Photoshop CS6 One-on-One: Advanced certifications from lynda.com in July 2014. Furthermore, they obtained the CCNA Routing and Switching: Network Basics certification from Cisco in June 2014.
