If you’re responsible for parks, playgrounds, or public recreation spaces, you’re juggling far more than equipment choices. Co‑ops, funding, ADA and ASTM requirements, surfacing, drainage, stakeholder expectations, and public scrutiny all land on your desk long before a shovel hits the ground.

RCG – Recreation Construction Group is a recreation‑only general contractor and self‑perform play installer. We partner with cities, school districts, and faith‑based organizations all across the Midwest to make complex recreation projects feel simple, defensible, and built to last.

Where many contractors “also do” recreation, we live here full‑time. Our team’s roots go back decades, through our close relationship with ABcreative and the hundreds of playgrounds, parks, and recreation spaces we've delivered for public‑sector owners.

How we show up:

* Recreation‑only focus – We don’t build everything. We build play and recreation, full stop.
* GC + self‑perform installation – One accountable team for subbase, drainage, equipment, surfacing, and ADA routes. No finger‑pointing.
* Design‑assist, not dump‑and‑run – We help you navigate inclusive play, safety standards, and surfacing decisions before concrete is poured.
* Built for the long term – We design and install for the next 10–20 years, not just ribbon‑cutting photos.
* Public‑sector partner – We respect procurement rules, protect reputations, and communicate clearly about costs, risks, and timelines.

If you oversee parks, schools, or faith‑based recreation projects and want a calm, competent partner in your corner, you’re in the right place.

Follow RCG for practical guidance on planning, funding, and delivering recreation spaces that your community — and your auditors — can feel great about.
