Florian Polak

Florian Polak has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. In that year, they worked at Simmons & Simmons. In 2014, they were a Werkstudent at the Jüdisches Filmfestival Wien. In 2016, they worked at the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich Außenhandelsstelle Straßburg. In 2017, they became a Product Manager at Careship, where they were responsible for product development and co-leading a scalable sales department. Florian also worked on process optimization, building a scalable and objective recruitment process, KPI definition and data analysis, and co-leading the sales department with the Head of Sales and Business Development. Florian increased the revenue by 450% in 7 months and the completion rate by 400%. Florian also worked on building an online marketplace solution for Careship and worked according to the agile Scrum methodology, focusing on building the booking platform for customers. Florian also provided legal advice to the management on corporate, competition, nursing and labor law, as well as building a data protection concept for Careship and ensuring GDPR compliance. In 2018, they became Co-Founder and Managing Director of RecTag UG (haftungsbeschränkt), which is a podcast discovery and beyond platform. In 2020, they became Co-Founder and Managing Director of tucan.ai.

Florian Polak attended the University of Vienna from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained their Magister degree in Recht. Florian also attended the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) during the summer semester of 2015, where they studied Internationales Recht und rechtliche Studien.
