Aurora Blucher

Aurora (Rory) Blucher, PhD, serves as Principal Computational Biologist at Recursion since August 2021, having previously held roles as Staff Data Scientist and Sr. Data Scientist in Drug Discovery. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Oregon Health & Science University from September 2012 to July 2021, where contributions were made as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Mills Lab and McWeeney Lab at the Knight Cancer Institute, along with a National Library of Medicine Predoctoral Fellowship. Dissertation research focused on drug-target interactions for FDA-approved cancer drugs, leading to the development of the Cancer Targetome evidence framework aimed at enhancing understanding of drug responses in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr. Blucher earned a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Oregon Health & Science University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Portland.
