Caitlin Simopoulos is a Computational Biologist and Data Scientist with a strong focus on the analysis of -omics data and machine learning applications in systems biology. Currently serving as a Senior Computational Biologist at Recursion, Caitlin previously worked at Roche, where research centered on airway disease and single-cell sequencing. Caitlin has held a postdoctoral position at the University of Ottawa, emphasizing the human gut microbiome and metaproteomics, and completed a PhD in Computational Biology at McMaster University. With a background in Bioinformatics from the University of Guelph, Caitlin is dedicated to making science accessible through communication and outreach.
