Chad Nielsen

Chad Nielsen is an experienced professional in the field of biological and biosystems engineering, currently serving as HTS Supervisor at Recursion since January 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing daily lab operations and managing a team of technicians. Prior to this, Chad held various roles at Kelly Services, including HTS Associate and HTS Technician, where work involved maintaining mammalian cell cultures and data collection at GE Healthcare's Hyclone facilities. Chad's background includes a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Utah State University, along with experience as a master's student conducting genetic engineering research and as a teaching assistant in relevant engineering courses. Additional experience includes roles at the Synthetic Biomanufacturing Institute and the USU Biological Engineering Department, specializing in fermentation processes and algae-based research, respectively.
